Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
College Price Check, a brand of JB United LLC ("the Company"), was built to help students — not to harvest their data. This policy explains exactly what the Company collects, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
Email address — collected during the analysis to deliver your results and guide, and to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Financial figures you enter — tuition, aid, costs, and income bracket. These are stored securely in the Company's database to generate your breakdown and improve the service. You may request deletion of this data at any time by contacting us.
Uploaded documents — if you upload an offer letter, it is sent to the Company's AI provider (Anthropic) to extract cost data. The document is not stored by the Company after processing.
Payment information — processed by Stripe. The Company does not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
Log data — when you visit the site, the Company's servers automatically record standard log information including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, and referring URL. This data is used for analytics, security monitoring, and service improvement.
Cookies and tracking technologies
The Company uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the service, remember preferences, and understand usage patterns. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being set, but some features of the service may not function correctly if cookies are disabled. The Company does not use cookies to serve targeted advertising.
Google Analytics
The Company uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how users interact with the site, including pages visited, session duration, and referring sources. This data is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The Company has enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics. Google may also transfer this information to third parties as required by law or where such third parties process information on Google's behalf.
You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by managing your browser's cookie settings. For more on Google's privacy practices, visit policies.google.com/privacy.
What we don't do
The Company does not sell your data. The Company does not share your personal information with advertisers. The Company does not use your financial information for any purpose other than generating your breakdown and improving the service.
